Ok, I know - another month has passed!
Last semester my friend Wendy had the best idea. She suggested a dinner swap - she would cook on Monday nights for her family and mine and then I would cook on Wednesday nights. I made sure, of course, that she knew I was not the best cook! It was such a nice change of pace not to have to cook one night a week and it was really easy to just cook more for her family. Well, this semester (I can't imagine telling time without the constraints of "semester") we added our friend Abby to the mix. Now I get Mondays and Thursdays off from cooking dinner! Oh and they are way better cooks than me :) Seriously how did I get so lucky! On Monday, we ate homemade lasagna and a home made baguette and tonight we had pork with a cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes! This is probably the only reason I'm going to be sad to graduate - no more nights off from cooking!
So, if you have a friend who lives close (Abby, Wendy and I are all in the same apartment complex) and whose family size is about the same as yours then suggest this great idea!
P.S. I just noticed that nice "smudge" on the camera... guess Colton's been sneeking it again!

I so so love this idea, and I'm jealous you get to do it! I'm curious though, if it'd work with anyone from Relief Society... ya know? I'm sure there's more than one woman who hates cooking every single night at church! Love it!
i have heard of this before! it is great! too bad I can't find anyone close that is comparable to my family size. Enjoy it while it lasts!!
Whatever--you are a great cook. We just have different styles of cooking!! :) I love all your food! This week has been the best--I love that I haven't cooked since Monday!! :)
I LOVE your meals - in fact I think we ought to swap recipes for the meals we've fed each other! Which reminds me i need to email the pork burrito recipe to ya! Thanks for letting me join in on the dinner swapping - i LOVE it!
That is such a fun idea. I would have to actually make friends with some people in my town - otherwise it would never, ever be a hot dinner.
I am so glad you get to do this! It is a great idea and a great way to taste lots of yummy new recipes. We had a group of friends who did this for a year and there were 4 families - and they did it Mon. - Thurs. They all said it was the best year ever!
looks like we were ALL WRONG huh. i can't believe duke totally flaked and villanova took it. and villanova totally wouldn't be in the game if the dumb VCU player wasn't such a ball hog in the last 12 seconds and then tried to make a three pointer in the last four seconds to only MISS! argh. villanova is a thorn in my SIDE! lolz. james and i reside in sad panda ville - that's where sad fans live after their teams dissapoint them :( lolz. drama queen!
I remember doing this with friends when we lived by the Temple. LOVE IT! I only cooked two nights a week. I think 5 of us did it. How fun. I miss those days....
Wow, that is an amazing idea! Too bad my Mom doesn't live closer...I guess if that were the case, I wouldn't cook at all. I'd just make her cook extra for us all the time.
