Oh Canada!

Our Home and Native Land!

Just wanted to wish all of our Canadian family a Happy Canada Day! We are missing you guys a lot today. Especially when we started thinking about the ward picnic. So, in honor of our son's birthplace we made maple leaf cookies to take to our neighbors and friends (thanks Barbara Ann for the cookie cutters!) and tonight we're having Melissa's Black Bean and Corn Salad. Hope you guys had a great day! We miss you all!

Colton, of course, had to wear his red "Roots" shirt today - this was the best smile I could get - all he wanted was the camera! :)

I love this post!! I love Canada. I used to know the National Anthem for Canada, too. One day we will have to sing it together.

What pretty cookies! I can't believe you swapped out the cool of Canada for the heat of AZ, I am still baffled by it!

We're sorry that you guys are missing your friends in Canada, but we are so glad to have you back in the good ol' USA!!! And Parker would be more than happy to sing the Canadian National Anthem for you anytime! By the way, TAG, your it!

So fun! I'm sad you weren't here to share those good looking cookies! Ken and I were in Manitoulin visiting his parents and we experienced small town Canada Day. It was fun - an outdoor concert, a sing-a-long, and fireworks on the beach. You should google map it - Providence Bay, Ontario.

I can just hear Seth singing the Candadian Anthem in my head. Happy Canada day to you! What a good idea with the cookies. How'd the neighbors like them?
